Tamara and Rhody: Engaged

There's something innately refreshing about being in the country. Tamara's family owns hundreds of acres of gorgeous countryside, and allowed us free reign of the land for their engagement session. We started out the afternoon in the vineyard and traveled through the farm in a whirlwind of laughter, love, and (very minimal) bug swatting. It was a good day.

Tamara has the most GORGEOUS eyes and loooong hair.

As we made our way to the front of the property to finish up our session, I spotted the most AMAZING field with lush grasses and deep purple flowers. I simply couldn't resist.

I can't wait to shoot Tamara and Rhody's wedding this November (not to mention visiting this gorgeous property again for Tamara's bridal session)!

Happy Tuesday!

Sammy Davis

Introducing Mr. Sammy Davis.

Or Cream Puff. Or Sammy-ammy loverkins bear.....yeah, it's like that.

I'm not traditionally a "cat" person but he's seduced me with his fluffiness, his baby-powder smell, and three-octave purrs. He's pretty impressive.

Sisters: Anytime

Meet Amanda and Nicole.

We spent our afternoon wandering through town, exploring backstreets, and laughing. We laughed at life, cheeeesy jokes, and each other...ok ok...we laughed at me. I always wanted a sister. Always. There's something intimately special having your best friend under the same roof. (Someone to borrow shirts from and squeal over the latest boy band) Their playful teasing, the giggling, the banter all gave way to a solid bond.

Thank you for giving me a glimpse into your lives!

Enjoy!

The Princess and the Pea...

I tossed and turned. A day of shooting, a (true to my nature) all-night photo-editing session fueled by a half dreamer/half workaholic, and I could. not. sleep.

Not a wink.

The cat meowed. The dog snored. I readjusted and buried my face further into my pillow. I would find sleep. Something jabbed my ribs. My tired hands reached down and found the offending object----Crayola---red.

I was obviously not yet destined for sleep. Not until I shared an overdue post of last week's shoot with the beautiful Abeni Caleigh Rayne.

Enjoy!

(Wish me sleep)

Elizabeth and Robert: Maternity

It will sound like an excuse. Like, The Dog Ate My Homework...Promise. But, really, I blogged about this yesterday and when it was time to publish, my computer battery died. I banged my forehead on my keyboard. Repeatedly. It was the third time my son had unplugged the cord, so I was a wee bit frustrated. Alas, today is a new day and I plan to recap this entry in great form.

We'd been trying to get Elizabeth and Robert's maternity shoot done for some time, but the weather didn't want to cooperate. Last week, I met them at Big Spring Park in Huntsville for a fun and quick afternoon shoot. (Just in time!) Elizabeth had baby girl Abeni Caleigh Rayne yesterday at around 3am. I'll be visiting them soon so you should see updates and newborn pictures!

Happy Wednesday!
